Description:    Knik River Bridge on the Old Glenn Highway in the autumn. Palmer, Alaska is on
this road about fifteen miles from this spot. Knik River is at the head of the Knik Arm of the Cook
Inlet in southern Alaska, 27 km (17 miles) north of Anchorage. The community has developed along
the south side of Knik River, which flows into the Knik Arm of Cook Inlet. It lies at the southern
border of the Mat-Su Borough, just north of Anchorage. It lies along Old Glenn Highway and Knik
River Road.
